Denis Villeneuve closes out his two-part adaptation with a film that feels genuinely massive — not just in scale, but in conviction. Where Part One was setup, Part Two is momentum: Paul’s rise, Chani’s doubt, and the slow, uneasy turn of a liberation story into something closer to prophecy-as-warning.

What works

• The craft. Greig Fraser’s photography and Hans Zimmer’s score fuse into something overwhelming in the best sense. The Arrakis sequences earn every IMAX inch.
• Chani. Zendaya finally gets the interiority the first film only hinted at, and she becomes the movie’s conscience.

What doesn’t

A few supporting arcs get compressed, and if you haven’t seen Part One recently, the political web can blur. But these are quibbles against something this assured.

A stunning piece of filmmaking that trusts its audience — and sticks the landing.
